HAIKU POEMS

Clouds come from time to time

And bring to men a chance to rest.

From looking at the moon.

What a wonderful

Night! Every people looking

At the shining stars.

Eyes closed, mind’s awake,

Wind touches my skin so cold.

Darkness filled the night.

Walk with silent sound,

Clap with your hands, not so loud,

Speak with grace don’t pout.

Keep-never erase.

Eyes watching-didn't close.

Wherever you stood, be still.

Hear noise and silence.

After summer’s rain

God’s promise is remembered

Glorious rainbow.

An afternoon breeze

expels cold air, along with

the fallen brown leaves.

Cherry blossoms bloom,

softly falling from the tree,

explode into night.

The warmth on my skin.

Fire falls beneath the trees.

I see the sun set.

Summer here again.

Music plays sweetly, drifting.

And life is renewed.

A winter blanket

Covers the Earth in repose

But only a dream.

An ocean voyage.

As waves break over the bow,

the sea welcomes me.

Melodic starlight

Serenade us with your song

in the twilight hours.

The wind is blowing

It is blowing very hard

I don’t like the wind.

I walk across the sand

And find myself blistering

In the hot, hot heat.

Looking at the clouds

Blue in the ice-wind

Space flows.

Fighting for freedom,

Fall for a valiant soldier

Resting in the lord.

Glass balls and glowing lights.

Dead tree in living room.

Killed to honor birth.

Alone, on the web

Drops of sensitivity

Embrace an eyelash.

Children are playing

Flowers blooming from the sun

Nature feeling good!

The bee flies quickly.

It turns around and stings me.

Then falls to the ground.

Branches stretching out

To grab the sunsets colors

Night is approaching.

Falling to the ground,

I watch a leaf settle down

In a bed of brown,

Bouquets of love design

Each moment to be a

Masterpiece of tenderness.

Clouds sit still above.

Mountains stir a placid sea.

Nature's beauty glows.

Birds take wing on high,

Gliding over angry waves

back to their safe nests.

Bamboo grows in ranks,

stirring in the morning wind

to wave soft greetings.

Life is like weather.

Storms to spoil your best made plan.

Then, sunshine returns.

Candle flames dancing,

Casting shadows on the wall.

Ghostly images.

Nature is not ours.

It should be left for children,

The best gift we give.

Children learn from us.

Teach them about ancestors.

Born, we quickly age.

But wisdom comes so slowly,

young minds never die.

Wind howls in anger.

Suddenly, the lights go out.

Cold and darkness come.

Birds chirping their song

Building their nest for their home

getting ready for spring!

Beaches are open

Strong waves are hitting the rocks

Kids are coming back.

I hear the crackling

crunch, of today’s new found day

and know it won’t last.

The sweetest of leaves

Can become rather bitter

When steeped for too long.

Lightning and thunder

Earth and sky tremble and shake

God’s awakening.

Shoelaces untied

Become a tripping hazard.

Hope she falls for me.

Pause and reflect as

We take time to celebrate

The day of your birth.

Green lizard you see

White stripe running down the

back proclaims a female.

Petals in velvet

Emerge from a dark green bud

Unfolding full white.

Little bird in blue

From rooftop loudly proclaims

A jay bird is here.

Fungi leave darkness,

As sun's light beams down on them

White caps shine brightly.

The lizard queen she

Scurries across the rail

Looking for the king.

Thoughts in head swirling.

Too many not connected

Focus impossible.

Clean blue day. The clouds

Still in the sky until a

Crackling brown leaf falls.

I feel the sun's warmth

Baking on my skin. I watch

The flowers reach high.

Ask for opinions.

Mull it over. Then you can.

Just do what you want.

A NIGHT IN THE HILLS

Plot:

How Gerardo Luna came by his dream no one could have told, not even he. He was a salesman in a jewelry store on Rosario Street and had been little else. When he met Ambo the gatherer of orchids, he told Gerardo that the orchid season had been good and netted over thousand pesos. He’s wife not know that his dream is concerned with the forest, at home he told his wife about the conversation, and she was interested in the business aspect of it. And then his wife died. He informed Sotera that he was leaving town tomorrow morning. He was excited to see the land in Laguna but Sotera disagree to his plan. He met the young man and the students in the dim forest; they stay for one night there. At night, he saw the trees and light of the moon, he hear the noise of the tree worms, hissing made by crickets and water flows. He never understand the forest and he felt a big regret when he experience the life there. When they got home, he went straight to Sotera’s house to get the key of his house and he met Peregrina in the half light of the stairs, and she said “I asked you a question that is very important to me.

Point of view:

Don’t go to your dream with excitement when you’re not know what would be the effect of this into your life.
